Project Initiation Process formally defines and authorizes a project. Since a project isn't defined or authorized until the completion of the initiation process, all work during this process is performed outside of the scope of the project. Our project initiation templates are created by PMI PMP certified project managers and are based on the PMBOK Guide - Fourth Edition.

Project Charter Templates
The Project Charter is developed during the initiation phase to formally authorize a project. The Project Charter is required before work on the project can be started. Here we present two Project Charter templates; a one page version and a more verbose long version. You can select the Project Charter which meets your needs.

Preliminary Project Scope Statement
The Preliminary Project Scope Statement is created after the Project Charter has been signed. It is completed during the Initation Phase and helps to ensure the successful planning of the project.
